The Noland News: Fourth Edition

Noland News

Here is the Fourth Edition of the Noland News!

Last Week’s Update (10/28/19 to 11/03/19):
On Monday Oct. 28 I held conference calls and meetings with staff.

On Tuesday Oct. 29 I attended Fred Miller's "Campaign Coneys" fall fundraiser. While at this event, I got to meet several local leaders.

On Wednesday Oct. 30 members of my campaign attended the Motor City Freedom Riders Regional Transit Town Hall in Warren. As a group we joined the Macomb Chapter of the Motor City Freedom Riders, and we will be meeting again. Transportation issues will be a major issue in Macomb County going forward.

On Thursday Oct. 31 my campaign held a staff meeting.

On Friday Nov. 1 I canvassed and gathered signatures in Port Huron at a Kroger parking lot, the library and courthouse. Though the weather was cold and drizzling, I was glad to speak with constituents and hear their concerns. Many brought up the issue of impeachment. I let constituents know that I think no one is above the law.

In the evening I held a phone interview with Michigan College Democrats President Ethan Petzold.

On Saturday Nov. 2 I attended the Michigan’s Grassroots 2020 Leadership Summit, where I gave a speech. I spoke about how we, as people, are all interconnected. We share far more than we realize in our communities and in our lives. We are in a symbiotic relationship nature and each other. I spoke about how all good things begin with a foundation, and that I see a solid foundation being built by groups like the Grassroots Leadership Summit. People working for the people, of the people and by the people. The summit was held in Madison Heights and was hosted by The Grassroots Caucus.

On Sunday Nov. 3 I canvassed in Macomb Township for signatures.
